Three Rivers Ranger District of the Kootenai National Forest personnel will be at the McCormick Fire Station, 1840 Old HWY 2 North, Troy, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Mountain to give information on the Knotty Pine Project.
The project area is located north and east of Troy in an area that includes the Pine Creek, Curley Creek, Lime Creek and Rocky Creek watersheds.
Line Point, Murphy and Red Top Mountains form the northern boundary, the Idaho state line the western edge, the Kootenai River the southern Boundary and the Yaak River the eastern.

The proposed alternative includes commercial harvest on 2,971 acres, non-harvest fuels treatment on 6,856 acres, one mile of permanent road construction, 1.2 miles of temporary road construction, 35 miles of road maintenance, four miles of road storage, 75 acres of harvest treatment in old growth, 41 acres of burning in old growth, 23 harvest units that create openings exceeding 40 acres in size and recreation improvements.
