UPDATE: 2:31 p.m.: We have just received word that Kelly has been found safe and that she is walking to a helicopter.
An all-night search took place in the McKay Creek area near Noxon, Montana, after a Bonners Ferry father and daughter got separated on Saturday afternoon.
The father, identified by local friends, is reported to be Dr. Ed Moellmer, hospital chief of staff at Boundary Community Hospital, was located by snowmobilers from Boundary County at about 9:30 a.m. this morning and was on his way down as of 10 a.m. today. His daughter Kelly is still missing.
According to Sanders County dispatch, the two made contact with the sheriff’s office at about 3:15 p.m. Saturday saying they needed assistance getting down.
The two were skiing in the backcountry and somehow became separated. The search for Kelly continues.
