Libby man killed by train in Nebraska

A man listed as being from Libby died in a train collision in York, Nebraska, at approximately 9:30 a.m. today. Travis Stolenberg, 45, was pronounced dead at the Road K railroad crossing west of York, Nebraska, where he also maintained an address.

According to York County Sheriff Paul Vrbka, Stolenberg’s vehicle was parked on the tracks and Stolenberg was outside the vehicle, standing on the tracks, when the train came through. The vehicle was carried about half a mile from the point of impact before the train could stop. Stolenberg’s body was found at the crossing.

Next of kin has been notified.
