AMBER ALERT CANCELLED AT 7:51 a.m. December 12: Derrick has been located and he is safe.

An Idaho Amber Alert has been activated for an Idaho Falls boy believed abducted by his non custodial mother and in imminent danger. Derrick Jesus Avitia Rodriguez is 10 years old with brown hair and brown eyes, four feet, eight inches tall and weighing 60 pounds. He is believed to be wearing red shoes and a black coat.

His mother, Gabriella Ann Rodriguez, Pueblo, Colorado, is 30 years old with brown hair and brown eyes, five feet, three inches tall and weighing 124 pounds. She has a tattoo on the left side of her throat.

She is suspected of taking him at Melrose in Idaho Falls at around 5 p.m., and they may be traveling in a 1990s black Ford Expedition. Investigators think the boy felt pressured to leave with his mother and think they may be traveling to Colorado.

Anyone with information on their whereabouts should call their local law enforcement or Idaho Falls Police at (208) 529-1200.
