Glea Joan Mead, 90, passed away November 26, 2020 at the Boundary County Extended Care Facility in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday December 4, 2020 at the Porthill Cemetery.
Joan was born in Porthill April 8, 1930, to Alfred and Ora (Huff) Baker. She grew up on the farm, graduating from Bonners Ferry High School.
She met and married Clyde Mead and they raised two sons, Mitch and Mark. They moved back to Bonners Ferry, where they purchased 80 acres at Smith Falls on the Westside Road about three miles from the Canadian boarder.
Joan moved into the Extended Care Facility in October, 2013.
Survivors include her son Mark Mead, Spokane, brother Alva Baker, Bonners Ferry, and numerous nieces and nephews.
