Not even pandemic can stop Three Mile from giving thanks on Thanksgiving

After more than 30 years of celebrating Thanksgiving by thanking everyone who shows up with a free Thanksgiving dinner on Thanksgiving day, Chuck Quillin and the crew aren’t going to be denied by pandemic.

But they are making accommodation in the interest of safety for patrons and staff and making the 2020 Free Three Mile Thanksgiving Day Customer Appreciation Dinner a drive through affair; staff will greet customers in their vehicles, take orders and deliver them.

As always, the crew at Three Mile Cafe will be cooking up a full traditional Thanksgiving dinner; turkey with all the trimmings, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes and gravy, a vegetable, rolls and more.

Also as always, no one who arrives between 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Thursday, November 26, will be turned away, and no one, regular patrons nor first time guests, will be charged.

Whether you drive a Mini Cooper or a Freightliner, just pull in the line, which could stretch a considerable ways. Don’t let that stop you, the crews will be scurrying and the line should move fairly quick.

And with the great Three Mile staff going to such great lengths, please be considerate of them and wear a mask if you are able, a face shield if you can’t.

And realize that despite all the interesting things we’ve seen in this singular year of 2020, we all still have a lot to be immensely thankful for, particularly that we remain, as always, the best neighbors anywhere.
