COVID cluster under investigation at YAAK boarding school

A cluster of new COVID cases at Turning Winds, a residential treatment and therapeutic boarding school for troubled teens in the Yaak, is believed responsible for many of the 43 new COVUID-19 cases confirmed today in Lincoln County.

The cluster is being investigated.

The outbreak of new cases raises the Lincoln County total to 475, with 168 cases active and six fatal.

Flathead County saw 215 new cases in the day ended at 10 a.m. today, and there were 1,101 cases confirmed statewide, pushing the total number to 41,151 cases, with 16,816 active and 487 patients hospitalized, and 462 dead.

North Idaho saw 177 cases confirmed in the day ended at 5 p.m., bringing the total count to 6,860, 83 fatal. Boundary County has climbed 13 cases since November 9 to 271, with 161 cases active.

Statewide, Idaho’s COVID-19 count grew by 1,201 cases in the day ended at 5 p.m. today, bringing the total to 75,428 with 714 dead.

Nationwide, there were 122,910 new cases confirmed today, and 704 more Americans died. That puts the total number of confirmed cases at 10,252,129, with 239,671 deaths.
