Vehicle licensing on short shift due to ITD computer glitches

Boundary County Motor Vehicle Licensing Department (DMV) office will be closing at 3 p.m. daily until further notice as the staff continues to coordinate with Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) to resolve ongoing difficulties with the rollout of a new vehicle title and licensing software.

Closing the doors early will allow the DMV staff time to complete each day’s transactions and avoid creation of a backlog while they work with ITD to correct deficiencies in the recently implemented statewide program.

Staff appreciates your patience and joins you in the hope that ITD will quickly work out the glitches so that they can get back to normal as soon as possible.

The Boundary County DMV office is located on the lower floor of the Boundary County Courthouse and will open to the public from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
