Flags to half staff for Ruth Bader Ginsburg

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg

Flags have been ordered to half staff across the nation in honor of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, effective immediately and to remain at half staff until sunset on the day of her interment, which has not been set.

Ginsburg, 87, died today from complications of metastatic pancreas cancer at her home in Washington, D.C., her family with her.

She served on the Supreme Court since 1993, when she was appointed by president Bill Clinton.
