The Walk to End Alzheimer’s takes places across the United States to raise money not only to find a cure, but also to support local residents who are challenged by this disease.
On September 26, the plan was for Walk participants to gather in Coeur d’Alene and walk as a group to show their support. With the current precautions taking place with public gatherings, walkers are asked to join locally instead.
A group of your neighbors have been participating for quite a few years as the team, Bonners Ferry Walkers. The goal set each year is to raise $1,000. Sponsoring a bowling event earlier this year, asking our friends and family, and holding individual fund-raising events we have surpassed our goal.
However, we can do so much more, so don’t let the goal stop you from showing your support.
We all know someone or know of someone who deals with Alzheimer’s every day. Please pre-register and then join us on September 26th at the Fairgrounds at 9 a.m. to start the Walk.

This event is not being hosted by the Alzheimer’s Association; it is a private fundraiser being held by a local Walk to End Alzheimer’s team. Please follow CDC guidelines and recommendations from local health officials when deciding to walk with those outside of your household.
