The Boundary Community Hospital Auxiliary will be holding their regularly scheduled business meetings starting in September and running through May, 2021. The next meeting will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 8, at Chic-n-Chop Restaurant, 6421 Main Street, Bonners Ferry.
The Boundary Community Hospital Auxiliary was organized on October 1, 1953, and has been helping at the hospital in various capacities since then. Currently, members of the Auxiliary raise funds to purchase items for all areas of the hospital through their annual, much-anticipated, pie sale and raffles, participate in the annual hospital health fair, volunteer where needed, and manage the soda machines with the proceeds going into the auxiliary funds.
You can support the organization by becoming an Active or Associate Member (dues are $10 per membership year) or by donating to the various raffles and fund-raising projects. New members are always welcome.
Since January 2019, the hospital auxiliary has purchased two special chairs for the outpatient services waiting area; scrub caps for surgery, lab and emergency; a bariatric geri chair for the extended care facility; arthroscopic surgical instruments; a can opener for the kitchen; laundry carts/trucks; and made a generous contribution to the 3D mammogram equipment capital campaign.
The auxiliary meets at 11:30 a.m. the second Tuesday of each month, September through May at the Chic-n-Chop Restaurant.
